OPTION ONE:

Luke is a dreamwalker. It's not really a thing he does on purpose, most of the time - sometimes, especially when he's stressed, he just ends up in peoples' dreams. He tries not to make any waves (it gets dangerous, sometimes, when he does), but on occasion he can't help but rubberneck. He is a teenage boy, after all.

Tonight, he wakes up and realizes that he hasn't quite woken up. Oh, shit. This is a dreamscape he doesn't recognize.

OPTION TWO:

[ have an up-close and melodramatically sad selfie of a guy crouching down low to the pavement next to a dropped and melting ice cream cone. either this is a total mistext from a stranger, or you know this guy somehow - the highschool basketball player sometimes aura-reader who cares way too much about first person shooters. ]

The dreamscape seems undecided, more than anything - there is a distinctive feeling of complete uncertainty hanging over the room. Right now, right here, though, it is a room - a large living room/kitchen kind of mix, rustically furnished, with an indefinite amount of cats hanging around. A woman sits on one of the chairs at the dinner table, apparently waiting for someone or something.
