HEATWAVE

It's unforgivably hot this summer, and luck seems to be actively plotting against you. Maybe you've found yourself stuck on sweltering, humid elevator with a stranger. Maybe you've spent the morning dodging AC units falling from high windowsills. Are you a human, unaware of the supernatural and bearing through it? Are you a miserable selkie pissed at the sun? Are you some sort of pyromancer, super stoked that everyone else is crazy uncomfortable while you're loving life?

Leo fixes the stranger with a look that seems to request pity. It's clear that he wants to go retrieve the shattered remains of his phone - for sentimental reasons, maybe - but the traffic is still too bad. He's left instead watching cars continue to roll and crunch over the glass.

"I've had that thing for nine years," he says mournfully instead.

"Geez, I can't even keep a couch that long." He wondered closer, watching the cars as well. He winced at particularly audible crunch, "Well. Guess here's to a phone for another nine years? I mean...unless you can sort a," he wiggles his fingers around, "poof it back to normal? Or you've got a really, really good contract."

There's a pause before he turns, "It's not sprint, is it?"
